Ok... lemme just say my gurl Angela here got dropped by Capitol Music Group last year and is keepin' it down low.
Like i said in one of my first posts of this blog, i gave an Angela Via bio so search for it if u wanna know more about this girl. She had moderate success in the Hot 100 Singles Chart in 2000, peaking at #27 with "Picture Perfect" where Smallville Star Tom Welling joined as the love interest in the music video. Via's early music style was as the rest of the girls trying to make it in the business on that era, Bubblegum Pop.
This was under the management of Lava/Atlantic, she later got dropped. In 2001, Atlantic Records readied the release of an updated version of Vía’s unreleased debut album. A new music video, scheduled to be filmed in August and directed by N’Sync members Lance Bass and Joey Fatone, almost became a reality, before Atlantic Records put a last minute halt to it due to Vía’s rejection of a deal she felt was demoralizing to her image in the music industry.
In 2006, She snatched a record deal with Virgin Records, with a new style of music with mixes of R&B & Reggaeton and other latin sounds.
Check out the Brand New Mix of her 2006 unreleased single "Baila Baila", now with reggaeton rapper, Sammy Gorilla. A version of the song was played on the past 2 season of Dancing With The Stars as a Samba several times.Afterwards, Via re-uploaded the track to her Official Myspace do to fans requests.Enjoy!
